Director of Influencer Marketing

Responsibilities:

Derris is looking for a Director of Influencer Marketing who will… 

  • Ideate, build and execute on multi-faceted influencer campaigns (from one-off executions to long term, relationship-based programs) across a variety of industries; from fashion, beauty, wellness and lifestyle to fin-tech, real-estate, health and more. 
  • Bring, develop and maintain strong relationships with influencers across all of the aforementioned industries, working with them to create engaging, authentic, branded content. Manage all influencer outreach, budgets and negotiations. 
  • Work closely with the PR and content teams to integrate influencer strategies and messages into brand communication, and establish consistency across all channels. 
  • Consistently provide a top-tier client experience; building and maintaining a working relationship, presenting concepts, delivering clear recommendations on digital trends evidenced by data and experience, while managing expectations and providing timely communication. 
  • Read and research voraciously, maintaining an expertise on emerging technologies, platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitch, Discord, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Clubhouse, Snapchat, etc.), influencers and trends.
  • Generate client-facing social media reports on campaign/influencer performance and present results. Optimize future campaigns for performance by analyzing learnings. 
  • Establish and maintain a positive interaction and perception between the client/brand, influencers and consumers.
  • Assist in the agency’s new business process for influencer marketing; fielding calls, supporting proposals and drafting scopes of work. 
  • Act as agency liaison to maintain relationships with top social platforms, digital influencers and influencer teams and agencies. 

Note: Our team will also consider Vice President candidates with 8-10+ years of experience for this position. We are eager to speak with candidates with diverse backgrounds and can assess role leveling on an individual basis. 

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in influencer marketing, social media and/or PR with a demonstrated track record of success. 
  • Strong knowledge of all social media platforms, KPI’s and best practices. Basic knowledge of paid social and optimization.
  • Strong relationships with influencers and/or influencer teams and agencies across a variety of subject matters. 
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills when communicating with influencers and brands. 
  • Comfort working across multiple brands, managing several brand initiatives.
  • Proficient with time management and budget stewardship to drive effective, efficient campaigns.
  • Must be collaborative, proactive and creative, with the ability to generate fresh thinking, identify risks and be a problem solver. 
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (i.e. at least two weeks after last dose, plus booster) and, if hired, present proof of vaccination before start date. Compensation: Derris offers competitive, industry rate salaries with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals.

The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience and is as follows:

Director: 

  • Minimum: $110,000
  • Maximum: $130,000

Vice President: 

  • Minimum: $130,000
  • Maximum: $170,000
